Android 4. 0 ICS regarding Samsung GALAXY Note Postponed regarding Q2 2012

Samsung has recently started to deploy the actual long-awaited Android 4. 0 Ice Cream Sandwich up-date for any Galaxy Nasiums II. This company also promised to offer the update with regard to other Galaxy gadgets, for example Galaxy Note, Galaxy SII LTE, Galaxy Tab 8. 9 as well as Galaxy Tab 10. 1 .


 However , Samsung only stated the upgrade for that products above will follow selection with no offering any further details or perhaps specific time frames.

The bad news is the fact one or more of such products won’t receive the upgrade earlier than the next one fourth regarding 2012. According to Samsung Norway, Android 4. 0 Ice Cream Sandwich regarding Galaxy Take note will arrive in Q2 2012.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 680 in India for Rs 33,571

Samsung is all set to launch its another Honeycomb-based tablet in the Indian market. This time, it is Galaxy Tab 680, which is better known as Tab 7.7 globally.

Two days ago Samsung made available the white-themed versions of Galaxy Tab 750, Galaxy Tab 730 and Galaxy Tab 620. Even though they are tagged as “Pure White” models, only the back cover of the slates is painted in white.



Customers who want to purchased the Galaxy Tab 680 can do so through major retailer Flipkart for Rs 33,571 (680 USD or 515 EUR) outright.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 680 features Android 3.2, 7.7 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 1280X800p resolution, 3MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 5100 mAh battery, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, Wi-Fi, 3G and 1.4GHz dual core processor.

The tablets packs 16GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB),

 One of the few Android tablets that features support for GSM voice communication, Galaxy Tab 680, aka Galaxy Tab 7.7 was introduced back in September during IFA 2011 exhibition.

New HTC Phones Coming September 1st

  HTC is to hold one of its Meet HTC events for the public in London on 1 September, Pocket-lint has discovered after surreptitiously stumbling across the announcement on the company's Facebook page



  “It’s been a while since we last met, so we thought that we’d invite you to come party - and most importantly see what’s next. There will be the usual food, drinks, music and a few phone treats for you to enjoy,” HTC announced on Facebook.

  “It would be great to see you. If you’re planning on attending, please RSVP to let us know. Just remember that it’s an event for people over 18 and it’s on a first come, first served basis.”

  And 1 September is also the date that we’ve learnt that Microsoft will start to roll out the new Windows Phone 7 Mango update.

  On the other hand, reports on a series of new mobile phones from the company also emerged, including info on a HTC Ruby for T-Mobile, or the HTC Bliss, a handset targeted mainly at women. 

  Tickets are available on a first-come first-served basis and are available to those quick enough to say "yes" on the company’s UK Facebook page.

Facebook Update 2.0.0.45 for BlackBerry Fixes Freezing Issues

  An update to the RIM client which bumps the version number to 2.0.0.45 which fixes two issues that made the software almost unusable.


  It took RIM and Facebook several more days to update the BlackBerry version of its mobile application, though iPhone and Android users received their updates more than a week ago.

  The refresh is available for free and it will iron out glitches with the application freezing and the News Feed not refreshing. With the latest version, the developers promise to fix two critical issues such as the freezing issues and another News Feed related problem.

   According to RIM, the update does not bring any new features, instead it addresses the issue of the application freezing and the News Feed not refreshing.

  BlackBerry users who already updated their Facebook application sent positive feedback, which means that Facebook got it right this time.

Android 2.3.3 for Xperia X10 Rolling Out Officially

  Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is officially on the roll now. The availability of this OS upgrade was announced several months ago, when the mobile phone maker also unveiled a few details on what will be included with the software. 


  The new software update will come as firmware 3.0.1.G.0.75 on Baseband 2.1.71 and Kernel 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537, it seems.

  In order to upgrade your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to the latest official Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, you will need Sony Ericsson PC Suite 2.0. Once you have installed and setup this software on your PC, we believe that you will be prompted for the Gingerbread update.

Here’s a list of what this new update brings with it:

HTC ChaCha Launched Officially for $360 in India

  HTC ChaCha has just been launched in India. It appears that Tata Docomo will also retail the HTC ChaCha and will offer those purchasing the smartphone, and living in its network coverage area, a free 3GB of data valid for three months and free mobile TV for 3 hours.
   HTC ChaCha is the Candybar phone that has got distinctive curves starting beneath the screen with handy dimension of 114.4x64.6x10.7mm and weighs around 120gms. A blue color dedicated Facebook key is integrated at the bottom while rest of the front is covered by the full QWERTY keyboard and small 2.6inches TFT touchscreen. The wider and bigger design provides you fine viewing angle when you type. The touchscreen is very responsive displaying the content, images and videos in 480x320pixles resolution counts and produces 256K colors.

  The phone's standard 1250 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide users with up to 430 hours (660 hours for 3G) of standby time or up to 7 hours and 30 minutes (7 hours for 3G) of talk time.

   It will be available in three different colors (Black, Purple and White) for a suggested retail price of Rs. 15,990 (about $360).

Galaxy S II on Pre-Order at Telstra in Australia Now

  Vodafone has begun taking pre-orders for Samsung's Galaxy S II Android smartphone. Running on the Telstra Next G® network, the GALAXY S II will set new benchmarks for mobile internet speeds in Australia.


 The smartphone was put on pre-order on the $59 Freedom Connect Plan, with a $20 per month repayment in tow (a total minimum cost of $1896).

  “Pre-ordering this device on a Freedom Connect Plan before midnight on Friday 22 July, will result in your account being activated on Saturday 23 July. This means that during your first month of your plan term you will not have a full billing month to use your included allowances,” Telstra explains. 

   The device comes with a fast dual-core application processor, with each core clocked in at 1.2GHz, and that it also sports a 4.3-inch touchscreen display. 

  It comes with 16GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space and Running under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
